How to Play

EACH PLAYER PICK A LEMUR CARD (GREEN CARDS) AND DISPLAY FACE UP IN FRONT OF YOU. SET ASIDE UNCLAIMED LEMUR CARDS.

 

NOTE YOUR LEMUR’S FAVORITE FOOD!

 

NEXT TO YOUR LEMUR WILL BE YOUR FOOD BANK PILE. THIS IS WHERE YOU’LL COLLECT FOOD AND POINTS. NEXT TO YOUR FOOD BANK WILL BE YOUR CURRENT PILE. THIS WILL INCLUDE CARDS DRAWN DURING YOUR CURRENT TURN. KEEP THESE CARDS SEPARATE FROM YOUR FOOD BANK UNTIL YOUR TURN IS COMPLETE!

 

SHUFFLE PLAYING DECK (BLUE CARDS) PLACE PLAYING DECK FACE DOWN. SELECT THE FIRST PLAYER AND THE DIRECTION OF PLAY.

 

PLAYER 1 BEGINS THE GAME BY DRAWING THE TOP CARD OF THE DECK. 

 

IF CARD IS:

 

FOOD—YOU MAY END YOUR TURN AND BANK POINTS, OR PUT THE CARD IN CURRENT PILE AND DRAW AGAIN. KEEP RACKING UP POINTS AS LONG AS YOU’RE FEELING LUCKY! YOUR FAVORITE FOOD IS WORTH DOUBLE POINTS TO YOU.

FART—TURN ENDS. DISCARD ALL CARDS IN CURRENT PILE. IF FART IS DRAWN ON AN EMPTY STOMACH (FIRST CARD OF YOUR TURN), YOU MUST DISCARD THE HIGHEST VALUE CARD IN YOUR FOOD BANK. EXCEPTION—YOUR LEMUR’S FAVORITE FOOD IS PROTECTED FROM THE EMPTY STOMACH RULE—IT NEED NOT BE DISCARDED.

WINDS OF CHANGE—TURN ENDS. BANK POINTS. GAME PLAY CHANGES DIRECTION.

SAFETY—TURN ENDS. BANK POINTS. KEEP CARD FOR ANOTHER TURN. SAFETY CAN BE PLAYED TO SAVE POINTS NEXT TIME A FART CARD IS DRAWN. PLAYING SAFETY ENDS TURN.

PASS THE BUTT—TURN ENDS. BANK POINTS. KEEP CARD FOR ANOTHER TURN. PTB CAN BE PLAYED TO SAVE POINTS NEXT TIME A FART CARD IS DRAWN. THE FART CARD IS THEN GIVEN TO A PLAYER OF YOUR CHOOSING ENACTING THE EMPTY STOMACH RULE (SEE FART CARD).

VARY THE LENGTH OF PLAY

Increase target point total.  A target of 100 may work well if you’re trying to get in a quick round or two before putting younglings to bed, or if you plan on lots of rounds.  Sometimes a target of 200 or higher may be more fun.

Play in rounds.  Once point target is reached by a player, deck is re-shuffled and another round begins.  Keep track of rounds won by each player. When a player reaches the target number of rounds (5 or 10, for example), s/he is crowned Champion.

Safety card could be “bankable” without ending turn.  Just put it in your bank and keep drawing to your current pile.

First of all, Thanks to all our Beta Tester Families!  Some of these suggestions were developed from families playing with early prototype decks.  They all did a great job giving constructive and honest feedback, as well as suggesting their own “house rules”.  Below are some ideas. Try some of these variations, combine them,

or make up your own!

DEGREE OF DIFFICULTY

You must reach exactly 100 to win the round. Must yell "Yeet!" as soon as 100 is reached. If the last card puts you over 100, your turn ends and you must discard everything in your current pile. 

Take the safety card out of the deck.

Must reach exactly 100 points.  If you go over, your turn ends and you adjust your banked points down to 50

 MAYBE ADD SOME PHYSICAL ACTIVITY

No nose goes!

Every time a Fart card is drawn, all players must plug their nose.  Last one to plug nose must discard a banked card of their choice (lowest value, for example)

Everytime a Fart card is drawn, player must jump up and down 10 times

Every time a Fart card is drawn, player must make a Fart noise.
